Q: What does CNY E‑Bike do?
A: We specialize in e-bike sales, repair, maintenance and rentals. Whether you ride for commuting, recreation, or adventure, we’re here to help you get the most from your e-bike — safely and reliably.

Q: Who runs CNY E‑Bike?
A: I’m Michael — with 30 years in the bicycle industry (including founding Cactus Bike and Cactus Adventures in Phoenix, AZ). I opened CNY E‑Bike to bring that deep experience to Central New York, dedicated entirely to the growing e-bike community.

Q: Do you also work on and sell non‑electric bikes?
A: Our main focus is on e-bikes. CNY E‑Bike was created to specialize in electric bikes and all aspects of their maintenance, repair, and upgrades. We just found our niche and expertise in e-bikes now that there are so many of them around!


Service & Maintenance

Q: Do I need an appointment for service or repair?

Q: Can I get a quote before committing to service?
A: Yes. We will communicate and get photos and as much information from you as possible and before we come out you will have a pretty good idea of what it wil cost you. For full or complex repairs, we may need to bring the bike back to our shop in which case we may need 1‑2 business days to finish the repair. If we have to order parts it could be longer…like 1 to two weeks. But if the part is in stock we will get you rolling ASAP!

Q: How long does service usually take?
A: For standard tune‑ups and minor repairs, we aim to complete service as soon as possible. During quieter periods, that may be 1–2 days; during busier times, it might take 2–5 days depending on parts availability and workload.


E‑Bike Specific Questions

Q: Do you work on e-bike motors, batteries, and electrical systems?
A: Yes — that’s a core part of our specialty. We handle battery diagnostics, motor repairs, system checks, and custom upgrades for e-bikes, using our decades of industry experience.

Q: Do you guarantee your work / offer maintenance protection?
A: We stand behind our workmanship. After service, your bike will be inspected thoroughly for safety, and we strive to ensure every ride is smooth and reliable. If something feels off, we’ll make it right.


Sales, Upgrades & Future Service

Q: What if I want to upgrade my e-bike (battery, motor, accessories)?
A: We offer custom upgrades and parts installation. Whether you’re looking for battery replacement, improved motor performance, or accessory adds (lights, racks, etc.), we’ll work with you to upgrade safely and effectively.

Q: What kind of bikes or e-bikes do you accept for service or upgrades?
A: We work on most major e-bike brands and common electric bike systems. If you’re unsure whether we support your model, bring it in and we’ll inspect and let you know.
